With the 8FG all you need to do is to go into the Function menu and assign the sticks and switches however you like them. The only thing will be that the ratcheted throttle will be on the lefthand stick. But you can open the back of the case and by flipping the ratchet over, you can make it smoother.

Without sending it into the closest service center though, your transmitter will always default to a Mode 1 on any new model you set up and your sticks really should be recalibrated. So it is recommended that if you want this to be a true Mode 2. you send it in to have the software updated to Mode 2.
