Model of the YAK 55 M aerobatic monoplane
The full-size machine was employed for aerobatic competition work and display flying
The original aircraft is powered by a Vedeneyev M-14P 360 BHP (269 kW) 9-cylinder radial engine
The model makes a superb indoor aerobatic aeroplane
The airframe is very light, with excellent torsional and bending stiffness thanks to the injection-moulded brace connecting piece and carbon fibre braces on wing and fuselage
All slots for the CFRP braces are laser-cut
Low all-up weight even with standard components
Precise laser-cutting for ultra-simple construction
The model was designed by Gernot Bruckmann, and achieved the following competition successes in 2008: WAG ( World Air Games), Qualification, Prague, 1st place, DM Qualification, Poing, 1st place, DM Indoor, Rödinghausen, 3rd place, E-TOC, Toledo / USA, 5th place, WAG Qualification, Turin 1st place
